My name is Brenda Overton. I have been a registered nurse since 1983. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Coppin State University and Master of Science Degree in Nursing Education from Bowie State University

I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) graduate of Coppin State University. The infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) website was developed for partial fulfillment for the DNP degree. 

The infant CPR website was created for African American parents.

Cardio refers to the heart, pulmonary refers to the lungs, and resuscitation refers to restore.

Knowing CPR can help parents support and maintain breathing and circulation for an infant whose heart has stopped beating.
